Aim
Our group has a major interest in the effects of pregnancy and lactation on body weight homeostasis and will bring an important gender perspective to the research programme.  Seasonal variations in body weight and in some rodents, pregnancy and lactation are examples of reversible changes in the adipostatic set-point, and information from these models in the longer term may prove very useful in the search for new antiobesity drug targets.
